what to breed for a quick buck

I say breed blue electric blue crays or some inverts or syndotis petricola catfish they have like 1,000 fry per spawn

Get a small pair of Honduran Red Points. I used to breed them in a 20 high. I would routinely sell the fry for $20-25 for ten 1" fish on aquabid. The price included USPS Priority Shipping, which cost me about $10 per box.....I made around a buck per fish when you factored in bags, bag buddies, gas, etc. It was fun, and I would estimate I made about $500 from my pair of HRPs, if you include Craigslist sales!!!!
Try to get a small, established pair, though. A 20 is kinda small, and if they are strangers, good chance of a casualty.

Get a few marbled crayfish that is What Im doing for money to support my hobby. Ive only sold one of my 2 adult crayfish for $10. They self reproduce! And the one I still have had about 14 babies. I might lower the price to $8 a piece. Because this was her first time in berry she only had a few, As they get older they have more eggs. I keep her in my 81F when she is not in berry to speed up the berry process thing. Then when she was in berry I moved her to my 10 gallon and she had eggs then they hatch. Marbled crayfish tend to be slightly better parents then other crayfish because she tolerates them longer and lets them crawl all over her and back under her tail. But I removed her after 3 days with her babies to be safe. If you get a good "colony" going you could earn some bucks:D And best of all there SUPER EASY to keep. just throw shrimp pellets every day and sink some lettuce in there every once in a while. These crays would prefer lettuce over a dead fish! And with a 10 and a 20 I can imagine several setups to make some ca$h.

I don't think you could breed guppies or any livebeareres cause most localfish stores wont accept them cause they breed thier own fish instead of paying people to breed for them. When they can barely keep up with the market like walmart or petsmart.

yea dont bother with live bearers cuz their supper easy to breed and even though there is a market for them, you wont exactly get alot from each one. unless u breed fancy guppies and get realy good at making perfect offspring, the most expensive pair of fancy guppies i think was 100 bucks or more

there charging $120 for a pair of gups! but then again those are the best u can breed and u need alot of experience but who says u cant acquire that experience?:D u just need practice and u can get alot of money for breeding the right stuff

If it was a twenty long you might try crypto "hondurian red point" cichlids. They are more mellow than convicts and really cool! Also you could do a tanganyika shell dweller tanks with occies, multis, or brevis. Also really cool fish with lots of personality. People are always buying these fish at swaps and auctions I've attended.

Don't go the mollie route if your even considering a buck or more....my lfs offered me up tp 50 cents a piece for my mollies, they just won't quit having babies, but the datnoids enjoy them as a tasy morsel every now and then.
