How big of a breeding tank do you have? Probably the most fun I had with an easy cichlid was a pair of managuense in a 135 gallon tank. I couldn't estimate how many eggs there were. Easily over 2,000 for the typical brood. Just insane. There was no way I would have room to raise all of the young or keep up with them the way that I use to with smaller cichlids.

If you have a smaller tank, try kribensis.

NO!!!!!! Not even close! I've heard that killis are pretty easy, and I think they are cool. I do wish my black widows would breed, maybe I have two males.
