a large jag and a large jd is to large for a 75 gallon tank. besides if you put those 2 fish in that tank space the jag would most likely kill the jd so he can have the tank to himself.

Agree... Jags are nasty if they have to be, or if they don't like their tank mates...

A JD is not on the same level as a Jag in terms of aggression, if you cherish your JD, then I really suggest you not put a Jag in with your JD or the JD will end up dead.....

I have never kept a JD to full growth but this is the first time I have really heard of one being that aggressive. The ones I have kept have seemed to stick up for themselves (unless getting beat down bad enough) but never going around gankin fooz.

Why not get some schooling fish like silver dollars. Unless you are a CA purist of course.

My silver dollars have currently survived my evil gold saums and my convict (who have a particularily nasty habit of ripping things like fish, crustaceans, etc in half). They are fast and so good at getting away. Pretty fish too. Make sure to get a school of 6 or more. It might even calm your JD down a bit.

JD+JAG=BAAAAAAD IDEA. Your Jd looks mighty hefty and I would suggest not putting anything else in with it in a 75, especially not a Jag if you want to keep it alive. Male Jags have the capacity to reach 16+ inches which would, first of all, crowd your tank exponentially, and second, give him a major yearning for a large territory all to HIMSELF which means good by JD........ Just keep the JD by itself is what I say.

Thanks For your help everyone. I think I'm going to upgrade to a 125 gand I've found someone who will give me two 8 inch JDs so I guess I'll just have JDs for awhile!

Thanks a Bunch!
