blood parrot. i think ill try my hand at a parrot and convict just to get me into raising fry again then ill move onto a bigger project.

Sounds like a good starting point. Since it is a Blood Parrot, you can also try stuff like Green Texas and Ellioti if you want to, tho Ellioti might be slightly harder. Or if you want to, look into stuff like Rainbow Cichids and the likes, stuff belonging to the Herotilapia, Archocentrus and Cryptoheros genera as they're mostly relatively easy to keep and breed.

But well Convicts is a good starting point.

Are you into african cichlids? You could do 75 gallon for breeding/show tank, 15 gallon for fry, and 40 gallon for juvies.
