my old jar was like that until he hit about 7 or 8 inches. he will grow out of it.
ya, i'm sure it will, I just hope my tat grows out of this live-only thing. Guess I just have to keep trying...

after starving my tat for a bit,
i got him to take shrimp.
but he only takes the tail ends very reluctantly.

the tat finally gave in and ate some pieces of tilapia a few minutes ago and is eating some as I'm typing! With the divider in, the jar isn't stressing all out and the tat and goby seem to be getting along as well as the jar and lancer.

I also saw my IT eat for the first time today (pieces of market shrimp) as well as my juruense (tilapia).

Finally, a good day for eating. I still haven't seen my NTT or delhezi eat yet, but they have to be eating something.

congrats, time to fatten everyone up!!!

I wish! It hasn't eaten anything since then. I actually had a fish jump ship from the other side of the tank (a 2" roseline barb) and it didn't even pay attention to it. Oh, well, I'm not going back to live. I'm sure it will eat when it gets hungry enough, I just hope it gets accustomed to eating other food. Are you supposed to feed them every day? The marbled goby that's in with it hasn't eaten in a while, either...not sure what's going on.

okay, so I've been giving it the same thing it ate every so often and it hasn't eaten since then. I put a piece of tilapia in tonight and still not eating. Why would it take tilapia after 1 week of starvation and then not eat any for 2 weeks plus after that?

should I continue starving and offering food until it eats or give it some feeders since it's been a couple weeks?
