What to do with Old Aquariums?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You could donate it for a pickup and write it off on your taxes. Check out the junk removal services in your area.

I am in sort of the same situation that I will need to get rid of my 150g tank, stand, lids and light. It’s old and will need to be resealed. I’m moving so will give it away if someone will remove it. I just have too much going on and getting a new tank. I’ll probably just list it on CR and FB.

Located in Prescott Ontario. I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem.

The thing is I would gladly pay to get it resealed. Only I can't find a business/person willing to do that. So I feel stuck.

I'm in the same situation. I have a glass 150 that I'm looking to get rid of that needs to be resealed. I tried Craigslist for $200.00 including all of the silicone to reseal it with, no bites. I put it up for free if someone wanted to reseal it themselves less the silicone or use it for a reptile tank, again no bites. These tanks are like $1000.00 new now and not easy to get. I hate putting it out to the curb but it seems like that's going to be my only option at this point.
