What to do with old Bio-Wheels

It certainly would be more efficient, but I have LOTS of extra flow (the same pump used to run a big skimmer in addition to recirculating).

I like the idea of a sloped tray with the water driving the wheels from beneath.

Thats actully a design I came up with to use hydro5 filter sponges as bio wheels for pond use or eventually for my 20k container tanks.
 
wow i like it, i have a few laying around that i foolishly changed, well not really. i bought them for the bushings and to get the bushings i had to buy the wheels. they would ware out after like 1.5 years. so i think i have three wheels. i will remember this in the future. thanks for the good ideal.


keep on making. you should grow out some rays in that tub :D
