So my current' stock is in my signature, but if you dont want to read that then here it is, in a 90g surfline
JD pair, M 5", F 3"
Flowerhorn, 3"
1 Firemouth 2"
3 Cons, 1-3"
i have been thinking about getting a GT since i really like them but i need to downsize. what would you MFKers get rid of? or what would you stock in this tank? Or if i get rid of the cons could i get a GT with my current stock. i dont have any aggression problems to date.

Get rid of the FH first of all or he'll soon be the only fish you own. In a 90 gallon you can probably keep 1 JD, and either a 1 Convict or 1 Firemouth along with a GT. Or get rid of everything else and keep the Flowerhorn. Can you not keep the 55 gallon that's for sale?

If the Jack Dempsey's pair up kiss the other fish goodbye. There's nowhere to run in a 90 gallon. Same thing when the FH matures, he'll kill the other fish.

balton777 i am contemplating keeping the 55 since no one is interested. i think i might just set it back up when the girlfriend moves and takes some stuff so i will have the room. i really want to keep my JD's to try and breed and my firemouth because he is handicapped and has a deformed mouth. but i could get rid of the FH and cons. what could i put in the 55 if i put it back up given my current stock?

Here's an idea:

55 - Cons, FM, small GT until grown out
90 - JD's, FH, larger GT after grown out in 55

Some ponderings:

Breeding CA cichlids usually need there own tank, just too aggressive

If your FH isn't brutal down the road...a JD, GT, FH tank would be incredible. I've never heard of a FH community tank however, not even at LFS's, they always have a huge tank to themselves. But, you never know!

I have a male green terror, he is around 5 inches and beautiful. He gets the most comments from friends and is just plain cool.

Breeding JD's will hammer your other fish, torn fins and stress will not be fun.

Have fun and post pics if possible!
