Here is what I have:

75g Tank
Flourite Substrate
Coralife 4 bulb fixture 2 12000k 65 watt and 2 8000k 55 watt
Submerged DIY PVC Overflow
29g DIY Sump w/ Quiet One 2200 pump returning ~300-400 GPH
Coralife 3x 9 watt UV ~75 GPH flow into sump
3' PVC Spraybar
Pair of Jack Dempseys
Will be adding a small group of Black Mollys 6-8

What do I need? I have ~$200-300 to spend. I know everyone will say the Sump won't work but I have used them before. I keep it sealed up as good as possible. I know I need a CO2 system I have room for a small system something along the lines of a paintball canister no room for a 5lb tank and Rex Griggs regulator unless I remove the sump and my entire filtration system(probably not going to happen and replace it). The spray bar can be pivoted to have no water motion on the surface. Considering replacing the 12k bulbs with either 5500k or 6700k. LMK looking at all possibilites.

wtf y adding mollies? feeders?

They are the only Central American Biotope correct fish other than swordtails(which I hate) for dithers plus being live bearers it will give some good food also.

''Coralife 3x 9 watt UV ~75 GPH flow into sump''. is this a UV sterilizer. if so get it off the tank. there not good for planted tanks. also i would consiter getting 6700k bulbs.

Why is the UV bad? I know of countless plant forums and members using them as I have in the past with my old planted tank.

Deiceded I'm going to modify my sump to reduce the degassing effects. To do this I will remove the DIY trickle part and extend my outflow into the sump so the water come out under water through a micron bag. I will then build and box out of light diffuser/ egg crate to hold my bioballs in the tank submerged? How does this sound? I will probably switch to a smaller Quiet One the 1200 model rated at 300 GPH. I will then build acrylic tops for my sump to further help with degassing. Now to find a small CO2 system.
