What to do...

I don't know if you saw the "whats the biggest turtle?" post or if you're already looking in to it, but Central Coast Reptiles was selling an aldabra tortoise in December. Cost a pretty penny, but it's about as close to a gallapagos as you'll get. I don't know if they still have it, but I'm sure you could find it somewhere else.

In the interest of this thread, a tortoise like that would definately need to be willed down. If not to your family, to someone else. Some animals could be very valuable too, so that must be taken in to consideration.

lol my family would take them fish that is

how ever if i had a Mcaw Parrot i would leave it to the person that i hatted the most, as they only take to one person once owned a long time

i don't realy care what happens to them when i'm dead it's a nice thought that they'll be well taken care of but my wife or kids can do what they please with them.

Any animal that you care for relies on you for that care and when you are gone that care neads to aranged for. As hobbiest we have fish, reptiles, birds, ect that will outlive dogs or cats, and thay deserve the attention that any pet would receive on our passing. No one would destroy a dog or cat they would find a new home for them. I hope any one that keeps animals would ensure the same for any animal we keep. I personally have not thought of this untill this thread was started and wiil try to ensure that if I can't will them to someone who will want to care for them they at least will know who to contact for help in finding new homes. Sorry for being so serious. I'm not going to die anyway so why worry.

My oldest would take care of the fish, he will be 14 in 2 weeks and he likes fish. Well he likes all animals. If that doesnt work then my fish will go hang out at sypher's crib. :nutkick: :nutkick: :nutkick:

unless I wind up having a child that is as into fishkeeping as I am, I will probalby will all my fish and tanks to be sold at auction with say 80% of the proceeds going to the Guy Jordan Research Fund (or some other similar program) with the other 20% going to whoever organizes the auction. Might let the organizer keep a tank of his choice instead and have 100% proceeds go to the funds. I'd pick who I want to be in charge and discuss with them beforehand though.

They would go to my family or friends (that keep fish). My family loves animals so they would take good care of my fish.

My brother would take care of them. He "fishsits" while I'm away on vacation. He's the only person I would trust with them. :)

i guess im lucky both my dad and brother like fish as much as i do so my fish are safe with them!
