what to do...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Considering that I don't have a massive amount of experience in reptiles, I'm not gonna go for chameleons then. What about any amphibians? Dart frogs are the ones I'm most interested in. I'm also heading over to the pet store today for a sump for my reef tank due to the protein skimmer leaking, so I'll see what they have there. They often have crested geckos, and a few of you suggested that.

And I'm back. They also said crested geckos. However, right now it's time to move my 45 gallon reef tank with too much live rock to count from my attic to the basement due to leaking. That's down three frickin floors. Holy crap this is gonna be hard. But once that happens I'm going to be able to get more tanks and terrariums, YAY!

 Bullsnake in a 3'x1'x1'?

If you want a diurnal snake that is fairly active, garters and ribbons are nice. I would suggest Asian ratsnakes since they tend to be diurnal as well and extremely active, but they get huge and depending on the species they can either be tolerant of handling or be downright nasty. Coachwhips and Racers are awesome to watch as well, but they are nasty as well. Some species of racers you can keep in a 3'x1'x1' though.

Most of the North American ratsnakes, in my experience, usually only come out at night.

Woops, forgot there was a size requirement. I thought we were just listing easy snakes.

Okay, amazingly that only took around 7 hours to do. My tank is now in th basement, everything fine. Anyway, for the terrarium I've narrowed it down to a snake, crested geckos, or dart frogs. I'll update tomorrow on more progress.
