i have a largemouth bass at 5-6" and i put feeder fish in there and he wont even eat them.... What should i feed him? i tried shrimp also but he wont eat/

Nightcrawlers,Minnows, grasshoppers from wild or store :) ANd from Store... Crickets, Fish bait ;) maybe you can work them on to pellets with no problems,Beef heart hear and there.. Feeders :) SHrimp :) PRetty much any thing live or dead that you can catch them on, just leave the lures and hooks out :)

Im trying worms now the bluegill love it but idk about the bass lol

Worms dident work.... he looked then swam away...

how long have you had the bass?? depending on how long you have had him he may still be getting used to his surroundings...i have never seen a bass starve..however i would get him started on pellets asap...ittl be much cheaper

I just want him to eat alot before i start the starving lol. I've had him and 3 outher fish sence tuesday the outher 3 are eating worms fine but the bass is eye balling the feeders but wont eat themm.. my bass looks a lil fat infront of his back fin so maybe i cought him while he was eating... I'll be adding 1-5 more fish between now and sundays soo....

I feed my little bass frozen shrimp, flakes, pellets, beefheart, bloodworms, crickets, and he also munches on algea and duckweed that is in his tank. Good luck with yours I love mine. He is so cool and very very personable.

I have kept bass that refused to eat for 3 weeks and some that ate the day I caught them. Wait it out, he'll eat when he needs to at least.

just out of curiosity there have been many posts about small bass in tanks lately.........doesn't evey state have a size limit for taking these fish? You can't touch one for a tank here under 12 inches.

i know here in CO in most of the lakes the minimum bass to keep is 15 in but theyre pretty easy to smuggle lol

I caught my little guy from a private pond. I asked around here and they said it is totally legal if they come from a private pond that was stocked with private funds....

Florida is over stocked with bass and bluegill.. No lie u can throw a castnet in the lakes/ponds/rivers near my house and get maybe 5-20 bass or bluegill at a time.. its crazy..
