Freeze dried krill make the worst mess ever but they love it.... I feed carnivore pellets and meal worms occasionally. But they rnt picky... Even tho they eat alot my parents still manage to over feed mine.... I came home the tank was full of crap...

i feed mine a couple of those chiclid pellets, and i also have a red tail shark i feed baby brine shrimp to, the little tigers love those as well, great pet

brine shrimp are a good food for such a small oscare as well as cut up shrimp and veggies ciclid pellets are also good and for feeders ghoast shrimp and guppies work great when they get larger they love rosy reds and canadian night crawlers. a small pan fish worms are great for smaller ones

coldwater fish, such as comets or rosy reds should NOT be fed to a oscar. Oscars are warm water fish, and they cant digest coldwater fish fat. They are used to very lean fish. I would avoid any store bought feeder fish, they usually carry nasty parasites.
:iagree: If you want to feed your oscar live fish raise your own tropicals. Any fast reproduceing tropical will work, mollies, sword tails, guppies are all good choices. But grow them yourself, otherwise its just a matter of time before you end up with a nasty infection. If you want to be safe and keep it easy, terrestrial worms and insects make great alternatives for a live food source.
