what to feed baby rb piranhas?

i feed my p's bloodworm cubes and beefheart cubes occasionally. Someone mentioned switching to pellets? What kind of pellets are you talking about? I would love to have mine eat pellets. Thanks
 
Another post brought back from the dead. 2 years old. For a second i got kinda excited like oh, that members back and then i saw the dates. lol.

Anyways, yes, my reds ate flakes when they were nickel size and eat pellets now. Cichlid Gold and Staple (red and green bag) and Massivore Sinking Pellets
 
I'm curious also what kind of pellets are you talking about, I am looking into getting some 1" piranhas to raise but being that small I am not sure what to feed them.
 
at 3-4" you should be feeding them fish, shrimp, earth worms, pellets if you can get them on. they are way pass the stage for flakes or brine shrimp or bloodworms
 
market shrimp,silver sides and tilapia,if you are going to use worms make sure you buy them from a baitshop yo avoid pesticides or things like that,also rinse the worms off.:D
 
I have some fry an I put them in a bare tank but they seem to be dying I feed new born first bites I still have some in the 120 gal tank with parents red belly what am I doing wrong

How often do you do water changes on the bare bottom aquarium? Do you test the water in the bare bottom?

I also recommend you offer live baby brine shrimp to trigger feeding then you can offer other foods.
