What to feed Gold nugget plecos?

Sorry If my questions seem a bit newbish, I'm completely new to plecos, I'll be purchasing a gold nugget when I have enough money for my future 150g that's coming on Tuesday. I saw that they were carnivorous. Does this mean you can't feed them foods like cucumber and algae wafers? Thanks

I will be getting one L018 in the next coming week...along with 2 Blue Panaque L239 and a L200. For what I read they are grazers but not really vegetation. They need frozen foods like frozen bloodworms or frozen prawns they also like cucumbers and zuchinis.

They do eat it but not noticably, more
Iike suck on it, the bacteria in it helps them digest. Yea, you can also feed them cucumber, wafers lettuce and krill and sinking pellets

GN's are not a wood eating pleco. feed them meaty foods and plenty of veggies!

I agree with what you say bro' , although it's not their main diet, but they do scrape some important vitamins from wood..

I feed all my plecos pretty much the same thing, Zucchini, cucumber, Broccoli, Spinach, lettuce, blood worms, brine shrimp, fish fillets here and there(all except my royal)
