What to feed Hagfish

I had an adult form lamprey (don't know what kind and kept in fresh water) (cought in same river) and it would latch onto a goldfish and suck its blood. Later it jumped out so now i have lids on my tanks.
 
The river you caught them in, is it far from the ocean and any dams on it?
 
I researched it and it was on the Rivanna River near Charlottesville Virginia
