Ok so i just got my first baby Arowana. Its about 3 inches long I'm feeding it Hikari arowana sticks. Do you know what else I should feed it..? i was ask if you could find the food in Bigal's petco and petsmart
CRICKETS ARE HIS BEST FRIEND!! TRust me he'll love crickets! but keep it eating food stick not FEEDER FISH! theyre too dirty, i lost my 16 inch Aro to bad feeders.
small crickets, bits or worm and mealworms are good too. Softer foods are safest. Remember to feed a good variety, but let the Hikari sticks be the main food source. That is if he will eat them, (Mine won't) 3 in. is small to be carefull! good luck!
i would have to say crickets but i have heard of instances where an aro has gotten hooked on nothing but crickets so try to vary the food.. shrimp and hakari food sticks is a pretty good suggestion
honestly, the safest food for an arowana's lifetime would be pellets. as a main stable diet. u can still feed other stuff but pellets have extremely low risk for disease. especially high quality pellets like hikari...
Pellets, market shrimp, earthworms, FD krill, any type of fish your grocery store has on sale just cut it up to bite size peices. Aros will eat pretty much anything.
Mine eat.. Massivore delite, krill, market shrimp, and the on sale fish.
