What to feed my Channa Bleheri

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I had already started my plant aquarium with chiller was actually planing to shift them when my plant aquarium is stable, looks like they cant wait,but i dun get it if they can survive in my local fish store without chiller, why not mine? Anyway i will walk the safer way now by setting my plant aquarium before i purchase my bleheri again

anyway is bleheri and gachua the same? Because gachua can be caught aroung my country reservour

bleheri = india
gachua = asia+india

bleheris is the only HS to have spots on the tail fin, easiest way to spot the difference pattern wise

HI,

why byuing expnsive fish that are maybe threatened in the wild, and cant stand the temps you provide ? If you can go out to the reservoir and catch some "native" gachua that would fit to your temperatures very well? ANd they are cheap (umsonst)

Bleheri price is cheaper here, and gachua can be caught here but its hard, i dont think its due to the temperature since my LFS got alot without chiller

best for bleheri is 18-22C, in the summer, my tanks have gotten to 26-28C for a brief period of time and they were still doing fine.

What were your temps? maybe we can help to confirm if this was in fact a temperature issue (which i doubt but we'll see)

Well my tank temperature is 30 degree which my LFS say that tht degree is okay it will survive, unless u want to brees then i would have to lower the temp

your LFS is an idiot, at high temperatures subtropical snakeheads develop bacterial infections and die. Bleheris can stand warmer temperatures but i think 30C is pushing it
