What to feed my new 11'' florida gar?

I plan on getting another large tank in the next 6 months or so.

xander13 you were most def. right about the pacu's. All of a sudden the pacu's wouldnt leave him alone....A little later half of his fins are gone(almost). So I moved the pacu's to a buddy's tank that was bout empty. Now the gar is healing. I gotta get a new tank and move soon....we'll see.

Don't feed your pacus fish, feed them vegetables and nuts!

mine like raw shrimp, insects, fish fillet, smelt, pellets, fd krill, you name it. a varied diet is essential in keeping them healthy.

My gar only eats live food..if its not wiggling he let's go? I'm soon gonna try some live shrimp but all he will currently eat are fish

i would try mixing it with some pellets, shrimp, and freeze fried krill or whole frozen fish
