what to get: black or lei?

yeah they do only when young. when they are adults color very ugly id rather have a silver.

Get a lei. Blacks look okay but leis look FANTASTIC!!!!

i agree when bigger broad head and most have no barbels so silvers are even better lol

blacks just look like silvers when older. i've never seen a full grown lei in person, but from the pics i've seen, they look good.

true... aros are by far my favorite fish. all species look amazing, but one must eventually get tired of the more common ones like silvers and jars. next move from there would be black or lei, then finally asians(the holy grail) start a community tank and end the debate.

I'd say Lei.... even though I've been contemplating getting a black (only bc I have two Lei's right now)
