Ok my 55 is starting to get very overcrowded with my sev, pike, and port acara. I have decided to part with the pike and port acara because I really like my sev alot. Also the pike is really not living up to my expectations. I liked my xingu 1s and johanna alot better than this sveni. Ok what I want to do is put alot of little schooling fish with my sev. He is not that agressive although he likes to let people know who is boss. I have put a couple guppies in there before and he starts to go after them and then just gives up cuz he is so slow. He is about 8". So what do you guys think would be a good quick fish from the same area sevs come from. (Don't want any tiger barbs but similar sized/quickness fish is prefered). Thanks alot.

how about some bleeding heart tetras and or some rummy noes tetras. both fast and colour full and come from the same area ;)

Im not too fond of bleeding heart tetras but I was thinking about rummy nose. I have kept them in the past but they did not seem too hardy. If anybody else has other experience with them please inform me otherwise. I was also thinking about black neons. Do you guys think they are too small? I would rather them be bigger but if that is all I can do that is fine.

i think they will be two small i know my 9" sevs eat them. how about 3 silver $$?

I don't think a 55 is enough for a sev and 3 silver dollars. Anyways I kinda want a fish with a different body shape to kinda clash. Also I don't want anything that gets huge because I want my sev to be the center piece.

how about some clown loaches? or even some sajhics? small but colorful and are not agressive?

Clown loach possible 12" fish, who prefer to live in groups, and is also asian. I have kept bleeding hearts b4, like there water about 82 degrees and are same as any small tetras, expect a 50% loss. I would probably go with some phantom or bleeding hearts, but neither are very colorful...... If you are ok with mixing asians with SA, try gouramis, many to choose from with some amazing colors, I like the pearl. Get a small colorful pleco, some corys, and all should be good.

oh lol i forgot about it had to be sa/ca fish lol. what about danios? maybe giant danio is probly your best bet.

Well I would like to stay with south american fish. I kinda like the idea of keeping them all the same region. I don't know if I really want to deal with a 50% loss though. That would be alot of money in restocking. What about some type of barbs. Not to familiar with them so I don't know what kinds there are.

you said no tiger barbs so i thought u dont want any barbs. im not sure about them. but like i said danios are good and fast.
