issue is oncve they get the love for hunting it might take months to get them to switch trust me

...just shove 1000 feeders in a 10gal, right?!? The larger the space, the better the food, the maintenance schedule, the healthier, fatter and more nutritious those rosies will be. Someone mentioned above to feed some NLS right before feeding them to the Cichla... I think that's a BEST IDEA EVER 
Haha I have a ten gallon but I dont dump in a thousand of them.I was feeding my feeders twice daily with Omega 1 flakes and the krill dust that settles in the bottom of the container.

IMO they should be fed very regularly,especially on those days youre going to feed em to the cichla because if you feed them regularly chances are the food you fed them is still in their bellies and is then digested by the cichla instead of the feeders.
