What to keep in a super tall tank

I would go the discus route, tall wood centerpiece and vals. Cory school, serpae school, hatchet school for the top.

I agree on Discus, with maybe a few small angels if there is room.

Or, to be funny, you could have one hatchet fish at the top and one loach at the bottom.

You could also turn it into a terrarium and get day geckos. They'd love the height.

They'd have to be some damn impressive lights to be able to grow plants in a 5 foot deep tank... is that even possible?

just use some halides. and put lower light plants at the bottom.

u can watch their amazing body swim up and down

id say some altum angels...they get 12in from bottom fin to top fin....
also some rainbos there nice and never stop moving...
maybe a schoal of tetras too...
upside down cats and featherfin synos as there pretty active and curious when they stop being shy
