what to keep with rays?

My plans for keeping brycon with rays fell through, so now I need ideas

I want 5+ fish that will add a lot of movement to the tank. A shoaling fish would be cool because I've never kept anything that does. But as long as they are active I will be happy.

Tank is 180 but if its something that gets huge I have a 300g pond, and within 18 months I will have 8'x3'x30" up and running.

bass , dats , aros , true parrots , severums , paraya , I have kept all these fish with a motoro ray the only ones that didnt work were plecos and fei fengs

Tinfoil barbs or silver dollars of any variety are my favorites. So far I am batting .000 on p-bass with rays but I am hoping it will work this time. My ray likes the taste of p-bass
