Hey guys, what kind of offer would you make on a 150 gallon tank that has a leak. Tank seems to be in pretty good shape other than the leak. I am thinking a quick strip and reseal of the inside and I would have a nice sized tank for fairly cheap. He is asking $150 OBO. Thanks!

I'd offer $100. Personally wouldn't pay more than that for a 150 that needs work.

$150 isn't bad if you can get away with just cutting and resealing the inside. You could always try to talk them down tho.

Figure out how much you would pay for one that doesn't leak. Deduct the cost of a couple of tubes of silicone and a couple of hours of labor and you have your price.
I wouldn't touch it.
New tanks really are not THAT expensive, especially when you take into consideration the hassle of putting all the work into it, PLUS moving it.

There's nothing quick about a strip and reseal on a 150!
