What to put in empty 100 gallon?

Not a bad idea, get some meshing going up to the roof where the tank is, toss some cave crickets in there, maybe a few red and green cave salamanders.

Alright on to the planning, I have definitely decided on the cave tetras because they are different and it would be cool. You guys have ideas on things to make the cave structures out of?

As for the other tank I did some trading and now have an empty 6ft 150 for archers. Its all you guys fault for giving me 2 ideas I couldn't resist. Not planning geckos or such, just a few archers. Going to make an extended cover for the top where plants can hang down for them shoot bugs off of.

Yep I'm getting excited to start these! I'm going to start the blind cave setup first since it is going in the 100 gallon which was the original topic of this thread. Found this really cool link where a guy built a 3d cave background.

I'm going to do 3 sections as well for ease of installation etc. I want my cave structure to be more brown than gray with ledges n such. Going to look at cave pics for inspiration and will prob do a sketch.

When I get home I'll post a pic of the tank as is for a before shot.

The fake decor doesn't bug me nearly as much as the half and half lighting:D if you do go with that cave idea this is going the be a spectacular tank
 
I want to do a cave tetra tank badly now but I just sold all of my tanks:'( when I move and get back into iti might buy some albino cave tetras from my lfs
 
Lol yeah this tank has been empty a little while and I had borrowed lighting off it. Lights will be replaced, maybe a couple low level spot lights :). Next thing to do is empty it out and get some styrofoam !

Make sure you create a own thread for the tank when you get started.

I can't wait to see how it'll look.

Maybe some Amano shrimps, or red clawed shrimps would be cool as tank mates.
