what about brochis splendens? if i remember right theyre a corydoras cat, those get around 6".

in the stuff on the internet ive been reading the fish to keep with a red tailed barracuda (thats the one I want) need to be at least two thirds the size of the barracuda not to get eaten, so yeah, the corys probablly would get torn to shreds, but a black ghost knife or african knife are both two thirds or bigger than the barracudas, so IM curious to see why you said the BGK might get it, really trying to find some cool tankmates for the barracudas, and I love the knifefish

alright ive revised my plan, I think 3 red tailed barracudas and 3 african knives might work, not much else. from what ive read the knives are too big for the red tails, red tails are 12" max ive read and african knives are 8-12" max, well beyond two thirds the length of the redtails which can eat fish two thirds there size, so, what do you think, would that work

I would get a tigrinus at like 6". They grow slow and it would be a very easy fish too find a new home for if someday years down the line you don't want to house it. Then maybe some dats and .....something to cover the top of the water that stays smaller. Just my .02 I love tigrinus cats!
