what to put in with convicts

I have 3 convict males in a 55. NO females so no pairs. no agression issues it gets spread out, and was wondering what other fish would be good tankmates for life in this setup. i was thinking like a JD, or salvini, something colorful and personable.

would a female RTM work do you think because they get much smaller than the males 8-10".

Ummm...well your gonna need some really good filtration......I would add a Jack dempsey...or maybe a Green terror.....

i don't think im gonna do a GT i think they are awesome and would love one but i personally think a male would not fit in a 55 comfortably when full grown. i am seriously considering a female RTM, and filtration is not an issue i have a 300 and 220 gph filters running on it at the moment.

i say another small growing cichlid perhaps a pair of geophagus or you could always put in a female convict and you would have MASS amounts of fry lol

i dont think a female RTM would work, i think they still get petty large, to big for a 55g. i'd get a salvini if i were you, very colorful and the cons would be able to take the abuse
