what to put with a male jd in 55

Get 2 or 3 pictus cats. They will get give your tank more movement because they never stop moving and will clean the bottom up for you and eat un-eaten food your JD misses.

Thanks for the suggestion. Do you know if petsmart or petco sell them? I have no other places to goto :(

Well after doing some research on pictus catfish, it seems there are many different kinds. I see some that get 12" and some 5" lol which ones do you mean? :D

Shouldn't matter too much. It would be easier maintenance if you waited until you got rid of all the other dempseys, and then bought the pictus cats.

Spotted pictus max out around 5 inches.

4 line pictus max out around 8 inches.

Raphael cats max out around 8 inches but IME they are very nocturnal.

I'd go with the spotted pictus cats myself.

I'm pretty sure the spotted pictus cats are the most popular. Petco/Petsmart should carry them, they do around here atleast. Beware though, cats are suceptible to Ich and in Petco/Petsmart tanks, they are likely to have it. Be sure and quarantine before adding them to your main tank.
