So I just moved to Pennsylvania and i have an old rebuilt red lobster tank that I'm going to setup fairly heavily planted with some pretty big pieces of driftwood. So far I have been debating some species of schooling pirahnas, enderlichi birchirs with SA lungfish and red severums. I'm open to suggestions AAAAAND go!

at 72" x 30" you have options open to you but if you want
piranhas you cant keep the bichir, lung or severums in it.
also if you want a planted tank bichirs and cichlids are
gonna be out of the question as they'll uproot/eat/destroy
the live plants. piranhas or rhom's is what i would suggest
but also any mid/top water predatory fish will do good in
a planted tank. maybe a peaceful community tank with
several schools of shoaling fish? nothing says fear or
thats one bad as$ fish like a big ol rhom just giving you the
death stare with its crimson red eyes! lol

Rhoms are pretty damn cool. If you do a low lit tank with blackwater and some anubias, java fern etc it will look awesome. This should give you a Stereotypical nasty looking piranha.

There isn't much you can hope to keep him with though

Does anyone have experience with keeping multiple SA lungfish together? My wife loves them and I think the 18" depth would be beneficial for them. Assuming I could keep 2-4 lungfish what else would work that won't pick on the lungfish
