I got a 5' 115 as a trade for my ray. Its 5'x18x25h . It does has a wet dry sump built in so the biggest fish got to be 12" or less. I was thinking a horde of firemouths or convicts but I'm not sure. I give some ideas.

That's a nice Discus tank. I don't know your experiance level but domestic Discus or Angels for that matter are no more diffacult than anything else. Regular water changes good filter maint and a healthy diet. If you go that route you can add a nice school of tetras and make a good looking display. Or you could go the single wet pet direction, but nothing too big. IMO it's not big enough for a agressive comunity. When you say horde what number does that constitute? There are many options.

How about some Honduran Red Points HRP. They are similar to cons but have much more vibrant color. Not TOO hard to find but a very attractive fish.

Threadfin Acaras, Angels, some type of geo, and your horde of schooling fish is an option.

Severums?!?!? Get a bunch of a couple types. Keep some bigger schooling fish, like roselines or rainbows.

Discus are nice but but too expensive and I'm not a big fan.
If its firemouths. I would put 2 pair and let breed. Atleast with them I can leave their fry with the parents longer then convicts. Once the fry reach a inch ill start selling them. If I do cons immaterial set up a different tank with catfish or big fish for population control

I'm not sure where you live, but I have 2 pairs of HRPs I need to get rid of. They could over populate a 115 in months lol.
Seriously they are much nicer looking then cons IMO.
