What to stock in a 300 gallon?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If that was my tank, I'll go with a jardini, sting ray, barracudas and a big catfish.

Hmm had a Jardini grew him from 2-7 inches and I thought he was pretty lame feeding wise.... Someone wants to trade me a female marble motoro for my 7 inch dorado.... Been thinking idk haha I know I'm going to do a Ray for sure

Mine was pretty lame and skittish till it hit 12" then it ate or killed everything I put in the tank.

Put a few big sunfish in there while you're at it, a school of bull coppernose would look nice plus they're very used to high temps being a southern fish.

I've kept and bred green sunfish not really a huge fan. They're aggressive af usually... I've kept a lot of natives...

Well greens tend to be the most aggressive Lepomis out there, especially males and when they're breeding. Most other sunfish are at least a bit more timid.

Not really a fan of cichlid tanks with are what sunfish remind me of. I would love to get some higher bodied fish besides silver dollars. I've kept greens, blue gills, pumpkinseeds, and hybrids and they all were pretty aggressive even when not spawning. However if you have any experience with bull copper noses not being aggressive to anything, then I'm all ears. I have a m/f pair of marble motoros so aggression has to be minimal.

If that was my tank the first thing to go in it would be a hammer to break that back ground out of there!!! LOL.. That is so ugly and takes up so much room in there!! Sorry not trying to put your tank down it is a awesome tank with a nice foot print but that back ground would have to go!!! It would look awesome with your Rays and some nice peacock bass in there!!
