  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Just gotta scrounge up some more $$$$$ before i actually make an order, so it should give me a bunch of time before i finish up my wish list

peanut, just give me a pike that grows to a medium size. I don't want one thats gonna get 18-24 inches. wayyy to big for what im looking for

well, that does limit things a lot since I am an advocator of Lugubris pikes...but there are still some out there they stay smaller and are still pretty pimp. Crenicichla acutirostris are GREAT pikes!! I really wanna get some but Rapps has in some bigger ones and don't really wanna get the ones Anthony has since i have a gift certificate for rapps....lol. They are pimpin pikes! They are more lateraly compressed than most pikes....thus they aren't as thick or as big...they do get up to about 14" though, but since they are so compressed its not really much of a problem. They are less aggressive of the pikes, and thier colors are outstanding!!! If you would rather keep a pike that stays below 10" or close to it...try the Saxatilis family of pikes. Crenicichla sveni is a great pike...love them......or Crenicichla lepodita.....Crenicichla alta.....just to name a few. They don't have as much contrast and color differences as Lugubris pikes though, and the juvs. basically look like the adults, but still killer awesome pikes!

I was also thinking that I would like to stock it with some Sao Paulo Oscars which hes gets sometimes. I think they look pretty nice.

Rapps Sao Paulo oscars are exceptional! they are actually about the only oscar i will buy on purpose right now...lol...been waitin for him to get some in...definately jump on those.,...:D

yeah, i think i might make the oscar one of the centerpieces of the tank, along with some kraussi and atleast one pike. What do you think about the gymnogeophagus balzani. Seems like they have pretty interesting personalities

Dude, I'm building this tank tomorrow, If anybody wants to see the pics. I'm gonna put them in my personal gallery, and I've opened up a thread on DIY where I talk about it. Plywood tank its gonna be. Pics later today. Promise :D

the gymnogeophagus ar great fish....BUT they require a period of a few months where the water temperature is much cooler....so i don't think you should go this way unless you wanna move them to another tank thats cooler durin this time.....

:(, nevermind then, forget the balzani. Think I'll leave some open space in the tank just in case rapps gets some myersi ;)
