what tool would you use for resealing a tank?

So i resealed a tank and it turned out ok but the silicone spreader i used sucked. What tool would u you use or recommend?

i heard that tool doesnt work that good for larger tanks. A small seem that doesnt need to be think like on small tanks it would work but for thicker seams idk

I just used the design. I took a piece of plastic and cut a rounded form out of it. It worked perfectly.

i've only resealed smaller tanks but you could try using different coins or even find a piece of plastic (like a tupperware lid) and just cut it to the right size and shape

What is wrong with you guys... simple as using the oldest silicone spreader known to man... it also comes in handy for a itchy butt crack... Your Finger! LOL Alittle dunk in some water before you spread works wonders

Use a popsicle stick rubbed with crisco for small seams, and a tounge depressor for larger seams.

I'm taking a break right now from siliconing (is that a word?) my sump and 180 gallon tank and I just bought this today at Lowe's for about $4 and it works great. It can do large beads (tank) or you can press a little harder and it works down to small seems (sump).

I never tried it but I heard a spoon works good.

If you need a big bead, a plastic spoon does a great job, but I pretty much always use my finger.
