If I was you I would contact the Catfish Study Group with a photo but it is not Syno Ocellifer

i'd say it's worth it. looks good i have a 5in "lace cat" lots more spots

Regardless of the exact syno species, I think that is a solid deal - it looks like a nice-sized fish! Wouldn't hurt to offer $20 though

As for the syno species, it is NOT Synodontis Eupterus (aka "featherfin cat"). The closest that I can come up with is Syno Ocellifer. A link for some info: http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/species.php?species_id=551
