What type of cichlid?

If it was bought as an 'Asst Cichlid', which it obviously was or he wouldn't have had to ask, you can't assume it is a 'pure' anything. At best it is 'looks like a ...', not 'is a ...'.
 
I've had both since they were about an inch, they had yellow labs and some zebras and bummbles in the assorted that I picked them from.
 
Hopefully I can get a new camera soon so I can get some better pics. But I do believe the Red Kadango is correct from the pics I have looked at.
