Dat's are predators and usually are fed live in a lot of LFS's and it's on us to try and get them on pellets etc. If he's eating pellets already for you, your ahead of the game. They can be fussy and are prone to fasting from time to time. I've got 3 Silver Tigers/American Dat's and they eat everything and anything but I've got an Indo Dat that will only eat live or frozen market shrimp. Luckily he hand feeds and I pack the shrimp with pellets to help him get some semblance of a varied diet.
