What type of geo. is this???

I can't remember if it has markings. Im on vacation so I can't look at it. I thought that it looked like a tapaj, but it doesn't have the red head, but the body and markings look exactly the same. Its like 2" long.

thanks joefish...thats what it is, I found out recently by comparing it to other fish. The funny thing is that the abalios was one of my first guesses. The abalios doesn't seem to be in Weidners book...is it?

i dont think its a tapajo, because the color pattern on the fins are dots. tapajos have a root like patern on the fins. i think its a surinamensis or altifrons.

i have the same one, bought it at shark aquarium under the title, "peaceful cichlid" haha, nice fish though
