Actually it is a friend's specimen,badly i cannot house 2 specimen..and i dont want our house to look like a mini zoo

, wich is weird since if they bred them (and they are not more dificult to bred than igs wich are bred by the millions) they could make huge profit and the species could be protected in the same way igs are (may seem ironic that exploiting them comercial could help protect them but ig farms as a example release back into the wild a part of the hachlings production and they supply both the ig meat trade and pet trade=less igs taken out of the wild and thousands of them in private hands in the world, probably more green igs now than ever before
) That however means that also the price of baby igs has gotten so low that the are considered disposable pets
but I also beleave that alot also live very good lifes But untill the day real farm bred sailfins become avaible please avoid buying them so to not encorage captors to take them out of the wild. Sailfins in general are endangered both in the wild and in captivity. A big buch of people that have them have single "show" specimens, and they dont care about breeding
Only in the last years true captive breds have apeared
