I love my 50/50 Actinic Blue/Natural Daylight bulb. You can use most marine bulbs, but this one gives me the best results. I have frontosa and the actinic blue really sets off the blue colors of my fish.
My LFS let me take a few home. The winners: 10,000k and 18,000k combo. I like the "cooler" light. I thought the Actinic Blue was too blue and made my African tank look like a bad/tacky salt water tank.
