What type of Pike?

Definitely not one of the dwarf species.

It does look quite a bit like the male Cr. sveni on Vinny Kutty's site.

that was actually the one I thought it was last year when I got it and I started researching. Why is it still so small if it's not a dwarf???

Looks like cr. Sveni to me. Male
I was also told a spot on the tail means female.....how true is this??

He also swallowed a Convict the other day, it was a good 1" - 1.5" and he ate it all but the tail was sticking out of his mouth. Whatever it is, it's highly predacious

Pikes come in different groups. The dwarf group is mostly 2.5"-4" size range, but there is a 6" and even an 8" one in the group. They have a different body shape though than the sax group. The sax group has a few in the 6" range and go to about 12". The big bruisers are the lugubris are the big bruisers, in the 12"-16" range, some said to get even bigger. There are a couple of other groups as well that are less common than these three.

Here's one of my old dwarves, the head shape is quite a bit different than the sax types, as is the body.
