What type of powerheads do you guys use?

i need some help on deciding which powerhead to buy. has anyone ever tried the petsmart brand powerhead by topfin? right now im looking at the AC hagen, zoomed powersweep, and the penguin marineland. let me know what u guys use. thanks

I love using the aquaclear power heads.

I wanted to get a Zoomed powersweep, but heard they break down easy.

Aquarium Systems Maxi-Jets, much better than the Hagen Aquaclear I had before.

I use maxi-jet 1200, its surprisingly small and works fine (have only had it for 2-3 weeks, so can't comment on long-time durability though).

maxi jets are awsome rio's are great pumps too and I love my seios I didn't like my ac powerhead too much thought it was a waste

2 AC 5000's I got from another member on here for my 750gal.

They have enormous flow and have been very reliable even WITH being used!

are u gettin any problems with it? i really like the idea of that rotating sweep but afraid it will break down on me

are there any problems as far as the marinelands making loud noises? cuz there were people that gave it bad reviews on petsmart for that reason.

thosw rotators really dont break down as much as the get impeaded... stuff builds up and blocks the head from rotating... but they are pretty neat
