???
just bought a "raspberry severum", from the looks of it, I think its some
type of heros efasciatus, pics r crappy, but body is light yellow to dark oranage color, lots of blue worms on cheek, with red dots on cheek, also nose area is raspberry red
out of all the severum pics i've been lookin, the H. efasciatus looks most like my severum, n no my severum is def. not a rotkeil, also the thing is only 2"

standard Heros efasciatus:

its impossible to tell from those pictures. lots of people have been buying these lately but not alot of pictures. from how people are describing them they sound like a variation of Heros efasciatus or Heros appendiculatus. rapps was selling appendiculatus about a year ago.

Appendiculatus no longer exists sadly, Kullander rolled it into efasciatus for some reason ... despite it has a much smaller adult size and has a range no where near any efasciatus species ... not sure about that one.

Aro Dat - Too small to tell, at 2" almost all the sevs are going to look the same. Give it some time.

heros efasciatus Come in many differant shades. Trust me the photo of the one you posted is not what everyone of them looks like. They come is dark green to light olive green, to a yellowish green like the one you posted. To the gold and differant shades of gold from cream to traffic light yellow. And then you have the red spot or supper red. All seem to be lumped into heros efasciatus. Yours is most likely a H. Efasciatus could be a mix too. The pointed face makes me think rotkeil because they tend to be more pointed when younger. But it could just be a mutt. You say it has some red around the cheeks? The red can take a while to come in on the rotkeil. I think it is a rotkeil. Because of the head shape. Once it gets to 3" the true colors will start to show.

Any way you could get us a better photo? Maybe use more light?

Also when stressed they change colors. They can get black to a light yellowish color. They are amazing at changing colors.

Here is mine at 3"
