What type of silicon?

Just some bowfin. My moray jumped two nights ago...actually slithered out. The opening by the overflow was just barely big enough to get his head through. Or maybe he was able to lift a cover. Anyway I now have a 75g that is almost a freshwater tank. So yeah, two or three bowfin.

They have royal CK's at Fishy Business right now almost a foot long. Very nice. You could grow one out in the 75 to put with your others....

They were like $45. Maybe $69..... Dont remember. But yes, he loves to overprice things. Supply and demand. was just there today and picked up some Short Bodies and some Synodontis.

Also went to Ocean BLue for some Lock Lines. They have a couple Flowerhorns there that are WAY overpriced. And I mean, by a couple few hundred overpriced.I almost pooped myself at the pricetag. Their Saltwater is priced at crack prices too.

First off, there is silicon and then there is silicone with an 'e'.
Silicon is the element (on the periodic chart). It is a hard grayish crystalline material.
Silicone is an intentional misspelling that signifies a manufacturers formula for the silicone rubber. When a manufacturer says 100% silicone, it is not 100% silicon. For instance, the formulas that have funguscide are still labeled as 100% silicone. The funguscide is in the formula so it is still 100% silicone.


Silicone Rubber, 100% Silicone, or Silicone Caulk are all different formulas of effectively the same thing. They have their own unique properties. The same product across several different manufacturers will also have different properties because they all have their own unique formula.
