I just noticed that my largemouth bass is pooping out some type of worm. I dont have a lot of experiance with this but it looks like a tape worm to me, but I don't see any segments in it. My main question is how do I get rid of this? I've heard of dipping food but the bass only eats live food for now.

Thanks,

Is it moving? if not I think thats intestinal lining. witch means it dose have parisites. Try this for 5 days, A full table spoon of epsom salt in a 16 oz glass of water stir untill dissolved . then soak fish food in it untill soft then feed your fish.
After that I would soak food with garlic oil and feed that for 5 day.
then skip a week and do it again.
Or buy some PraziPro and follow dir.
PS. treating for internal parisites is a good thing. better safe than sorry

Usually a sign of internal parasites. +1 on epsom salt. There's a long thread here about using epsom salt. If that doesn't work, you'll need to get some stronger meds.

Whatever it was he was pooping out was not moving... The bass is the only fish i have in a outdoor pond, about 300 gallons. Should I take my plants out of the pond or do I need to treat the plants as well. I'm sure they wont do well in salt. What kind of medication do you recommend I feed the feeders? Feed them one dose then feed them to the bass?

Thanks for the responses guys.

Best thing to do is get the jungle internal parasite med food and gut load your feeders just before feeding to the sick bass. Then he gets his food and a good dosing..

So, I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the basses condition but I just finished treating the pond for Ick or some other type of fungus. I had a bluegill that developed white fungus all over his body that ended up killing it. I treated the pond for 10 days with a ick medication. I just finished medicating the pond when I saw that bass this way...
