Morning water changes in the garage fishroom

No water changes on the two 90g tanks because Im going to do filter cleanings later. The RTGG is in the upper right 90g. The clown loaches are still in QT in the middle bottom 40B and the other future tankmates to the RTGG are the barbs in the 65B on the lower left.

Filament barbs are so active its hard to get a good pic, always a blur of activity. The trio will school with the roselines at times. Im still looking for at minimum of 2 more for a group of 5. thinking I want more like 7 of these.

The roselines are very well behaved and shoal together quite nicely. This encourages the filament barbs to school with them at times. I have seven of these but thinking to increase to 9.

Lost one roseline in the growout tank. As it was growing its gill and head were looking deformed. So down to six roselines. The 300 may be ready for fish soon with my 8 silver dollars scheduled to be picked up by a Craigslister tonight. The pearsei is also gone. All that is left is an Oscar which I think I will rehome. This will open up the 300 as a blank canvas for the RTGG tank.

When going into the fish room this morning before sunrise with a little natural light coming in, otherwise pretty dark, I swore I saw the RTGG going at a couple of the sevs. This is not something it does in the light, in fact with light on it backs down and lets itself be chased on occasion to the dominant sev. So Im kind of wondering if I should move the red sevs into the 300 with the RTGG or not. They would add a nice splash of color but at this point not sure what kind of tankmates they will be. I got time to think about it still. Part of me wants the sevs in the tank and the other wants to just have the RTGG as the solo, large focus fish with the clown loaches and the barbs kind of the secondary.

Were these wild caught roseline, hobby bred or farmed ? I do find that a lot of farmed fishes - esp from cz tend to be overly inbred.

Today was moving day. Rehomed my bumblebee oscar and now have the 300 gallon tank with the final occupants. Will try and get pics when everyone settles down.

My stock as of now:
Red tail giant gourami
Red spot severum x3
Clown loaches x10
Filament barbs x7
Denison barbs x6

Possibly will add 3 more roselines and maybe a Siamese alagae eater.

A little trouble in paradise, the dominant sev (believed male) is a bully and I could tell the gourami was getting a bit nervous and unsettled with it. The aggression was toward another sev but the gourami was not happy. Pulled the bully out and the two sevs left are likely a male and female but they have no breeding interest in each other but seem to get along well enough.

Also a couple clown loaches found a hole in the side of the large Mopani wood that has a small chamber behind it. I feel like they are stuck but will give them the night to see if they come out.

You know you raise an interesting point. Some fishes get nervous when two fishes show aggression towards each other and others seem to join the fun or chase. I know when one of my chocolate goes bonkers with another (which luckily has stopped) the l. thayerr definitely hunker down but the angels don't seem to care much and the loaches get really exicted (I have a 600 - 10ft x 4ft floor) with 4 chcolate 2 of which is a bounded pair. While the pair has dug a nest next to the glass and hte other two stay at the opposite end of the aquarium sometime the male gets bored and looks for someone to chase. Oddly feeding time is quiet time (not just with the chocolate but with a lot of my fishes that otherwise prefer to stay away from each other).
