Been unhappy with my 300 for a while. After having lost my 16" pearsei to age, I have been trying to get a tank set up that I enjoy. Multiple 'replacement' fish including Oscar, other pearsei and other cichlids just havent done it. Have decided its GG time. Hopefully this is part of the long term goal with the tank.

I live a couple hours away from Wet Spot in Portland Oregon so went for a little day trip down there to pick up the new fish.

Of course it adds some excitement when they have a GG on show in one of their display tanks!

My little guy is currently in my 90 gallon community tank with red sev, some rainbows and hopplo catfish. As you can see its only about the size of one of my rainbows at the moment.

A little rough around the edges with a little fin tear, but looks like it should fill back in and look fine.

The little guy is doing great and eats like a champ. No issues with the pellets that the rest of the tank is getting. Looking forward to seeing how this one turns out and hopefully bring some life into the 300 when it eventually gets moved over.

RTGG? If so, great pickup and fish to own. Much more placid than the regular GG. Don’t get as big either. They can be flighty and very timid for a while until they settle in. Very personable with age as well. 💀🤙

Ive put these up before but this is my fishroom in the garage where the new fish is being raised out in. (These are a bit older pics but the room is laid out the same just some difference in decor and fish currently)

My fishroom has two 90g across the top with a 46g bowfront in between, and on the bottom two 65B with a Flex 32.5 in between. Im in the process of selling the fluval and putting a standard 40B in its place.

Was looking for an updated pic of the 300, (future home of GG) but only have old pics... will work on that.

Well found a one year old pic of the 300 to show you guys, The large bala passed along with the bichir in the right rear corner of the pic., and I now have 8 Setiger silver dollars in with the oscar and pearsei. Likely both cichlids will be rehomed for my new vision for the tank and possibly the SD's since I know they have nipped the fins on the pearsei.

Little guy doing well in the 90g community. Fins healed up very quickly and he eats like a champ. Haven't had a chance to feed too many different items but he likes frozen brine shrimp and my pellet mix of Omega One small sinking cichlid and some Dr. Bassleer Acai and Herbal. Didnt like Mysis shrimp but I will try again to see how it goes.

A bit rough of a pic but one of those corner reflection shots.
