What WAS it?

My female has the same trait as yours DB she has eaten an 10" delheizi, 2x 8" redhooks and my 14" flagtail and this happened whilst she was preggo.
I wonder if its something to do with their hormones as most women are tempermental when they are preggers lol.

Very well could be. Started seeing movement 3 weeks ago.

Could get annoyed with it swimming overhead and just end it. There's a Gar in there and that thing just sits still at the top, frozen like a log, unless there's food in there. It is pretty picked clean though, it was a thick fish and that's a small net.

Maybe I'll start looking into seperating her as I'd hate for this to be a sign of things to come when I have smaller rays in with her...... She gets any crazier at feeding time and she'll have to be seperated anyways....

I have 3 indo dats in with mine atm 14"/10" and 8" hope she dont turn her attention to them as she is preggers again.

I feed my rays twice a day but only the female shows this aggression even on a full belly she still pounces.

Guess this is what happens in nature so why not in our tanks/ponds.

Always the same one too.... I swear some wouldn't touch fish even if starved, but the big girl is just on top of whatever I put in there..... Literally. lol

What can you say? She's the queen bee!
