What was the wackiest thing you have ever caught?

Caught a "mated" pair of horshoe crabs off the coast of NJ. Still doing their thing when I reeled them up

i snagged (on accident) a pair of mating snapping turtles....1 was 17 and the other was 15 lbs.......yum yum turtle soup

A squid, a very small one, about 6 inches long. Shot ink when i got it outta the water. That was weird.

Oh thats horrible you should at least let them finish for future generations of soup bowls.

weird story.. Fly fishing at dusk in the summer. I was flipping my line back and fourth and just as I was doing the last flip a bat took my fly in mid air. The line was behind me and I ended up jerking the poor bat into the water. Almost as soon as the bat hit the water a 4.5 lb bass took the bat.

I landed him and went home with a weird story.

great fish i wet fly fishing and had a little minnow bite and i hooked with out knowing and didnt feel the change in weight of the line so i was swinging the poor fish back and forth until i casted again and saw it.

I caught a 6' gator in new port richie while visiting some friends. We were fishing for gar with shiners.
