what was your first herp?

My very fist herp was my golden gecko, I got him 9 years ago and he was about a year old when i got him so hes at least 10 years old by now:

garter snakes that I've caught outside.
1st real PET herp was a flying gecko.

My first herp was an Eastern Box Turtle that I got when I was 5. So that was 22 years ago.

On this one.. garter snake.. Though I handled and attempted to keep many other things in the beginning This of course lead to tanned hide and ferosious roars from parents and Garndparents

While living in Tombstone and Tuscon.. I caught many Horny toads.. And attempted to catcha couple Gilas, not understanding why the authorities around me wanted to beat em every time they seen me attempting a Gila.

But it came down to catching and keeping some garters in Utah for a couple days...

Actual purchase and kept more than a couple days.. is my newest Pastel Jungle Ball

Hhmm thanks for starting this thread.. now All my sons last couple years make COMPLETE sense !! OH MAN I"VE TURNED INTO MY PARENTS Well not completely
